Question: Why do we need an oil mist cooling pump instead of water cooling when machining aluminum parts?
Oil mist cooling pump:
Specifically, it is a micro-cooling and lubricating pump for dry cutting, including a lubricating oil cup, a micro pneumatic pump, a concentric tube and a nozzle. The nozzle is connected to one end of the concentric tube, and the other end of the concentric tube is connected to the micro pneumatic pump through the oil tube. The oil outlet of the lubricating oil cup is connected with the oil inlet of the oil injection chamber of the micro pneumatic pump. The concentric pipe is composed of a thin oil pipe located inside and a compressed air delivery pipe located outside. The utility model has the effect of lubricating by delivering accurately metered lubricating oil to the cutting edge through the micro pneumatic pump. There is no oil mist dispersed in the air, and the friction heat generated by the tool and the workpiece is avoided. Aluminum processing is easy to melt, and it is very viscous. Water alone can't make the tool out of greasy aluminum shavings. Well, I can’t find a good adjective. For the time being, it’s called greasy aluminum shavings hahahaha~~The middle tool and the workpiece are at room temperature, and the tool life can be greatly extended, thereby reducing the cost of maintenance and tool replacement.
